Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.
Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.
Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.
The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you — verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.
- allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.
- offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.
- based on the D&D 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage & disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.
- through your choices, and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play, or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.
- allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness — create your own luck!

Works like a charm, put update 1 & 2 inside the baldurs gate 3 folder, did update 1, then 2, no issues, cheers mates.
@Caudimordax -I did that – sam effect. Wont patch.
It still doesnt work… I put update in game folder and it still write that “Game installation not found”… Some solution for that ? I tried have it on my C: drive and also move it on D: drive but same result.
Why would you release a patcher that only works for the E drive?
Well that’s weird, I have the game installed on my E: Drive and I still can’t get the update to work no matter what I try.
To those who are having trouble applying the Update Patch to build version 4.1.83.2651, you can’t just apply UPDATE v4.1.83.5246-GOG from here.
You need to first have the previous build version 4.1.83.2651, then you need to get the 4.1.83.2651 to 4.1.83.3931 update patch which should show exactly like this:
patch_baldurs_gate_3_4.1.83.2651_(41774)_to_4.1.83.3931_(41800).exe
Run the patch and apply it, it will automatically look for the drive and game directory location of where the game was installed to.
Once you see that the patch was applied successfully, apply the next patch which should show exactly as this:
patch_baldurs_gate_3_4.1.83.3931_(41800)_to_4.1.83.5246_(41823).exe
This will automatically apply patch 4.1.83.5246 from 3_4.1.83.3931 to bring it up to the current version build of the game for: 4.1.83.5246 (41823).
You guys don’t to be moving around the Update Patches to different drive locations or even dropping it into the game directory. Why would you even need to do that to apply a simple Update Patch?
Frankly, it doesn’t really matter where you have the Update Patch, as long as the Update Patch itself can automatically find and locate the drive and directory of where the game was installed to, which is what really matters.
Below are two links to the Official GOG patches for Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access that will bring the game up-to-date with version: 4.1.83.5246.
Get the first patch from the first link, followed by the second patch from the second link, and you should be good.

@tekmarvl: Thank u for responding and your explanation was spot on, But with that said I still get any error saying (Game installation not found, please reinstall).
@ctechlife,
If you are getting a message such as the one that you indicated where it says that the Game installation wasn’t found, and the error code itself suggests to reinstall the game, in a situation such as that, I would look into the physical location, the drive and directory of where the game was installed to. Make note of it, make a backup of any saves that were made during gameplay (if there is anything out of saves that I wanted to keep), and then I would uninstall the game, and then start from scratch by installing fresh from the 4.1.83.2651 build version.
Once that is done, then I would apply the first and second patches as I listed and provided links to in my previous post.
After that is done, I would use the backup of the game saves I had made, and drop it back into it’s original directory path location from where I originally took it from.
Game Saves, if they are not STEAM version games, can generally be found in three different locations on your Primary Drive C:/
It will usually be in the Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\Name of your Game folder, or Users\Your Name\AppData\LocalLow\Name of your Game folder, and sometimes on rare occasions, even in C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\Name of your Game folder.
It could even be located in: C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\My Games\Name of your Game folder.
These would be the most common places to look for GOG game save locations.
When you begin with a fresh install of build version 4.1.83.2651, make sure that you first have enough space on your Primary C:\ drive, because as you probably already know, that whenever you install something to any drive, be it an internal or an external one, the setup installation package will start to dump temporary files into your Windows Temporary folders on your C:\ drive where your Windows OS is situated typically and that space will begin to fill up, until the installation process has fully completed with installing the game, program, or whatever else you may be installing from an installer.
So, aside from ensuring that you have enough available space on your Primary C:\ drive, if you happen to run into any installation issues due to the lack of available space for temporary files on your Primary Drive, then you can Google up how to move Windows Temporary Folders to another drive location, so that you reserve enough available space for your Primary Drive, and avoid running out of disk space as you install your game, program, or whatever else to another drive location without any issues.
There are many tutorials on this, including some YouTube videos on how to do this, such as this one here you can take a look at for guidance:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGYEWv2ZhNI
Hope that what I have said here, helps to resolve your current issue.
@tekmarvl: Again Tek thank you for going out your way to try and solve this issue.
I figured out the problem and I feel kind of stupid for not thinking of this earlier. In short I just did what it said reinstalled the game and it worked.
@ctechlife,
No worries, I don’t mind helping out fellow Gamers. Sometimes even the smallest and simplest of things can go overlooked. It’s only when you take a second glance, it becomes apparent and clear to what was missed the first time.
It happens to the best of us, so no worries.
Glad you got it working.
I’m get this error,
Error modifying H:\Baldurs Gate 3\bin\bg3.exe
Error modifying H:\Baldurs Gate 3\bin\bg3_dx11.exe
@ErrorOnThis,
If you are getting errors like that coming up, make sure that you have temporarily disabled your Windows Defender or Anti-virus program as they could possibly be interfering with the setup of the Update Patches you are trying to apply to your build of the game.
This is especially important if you happen to be using a non – official GOG Update Patch installer, and instead are using some Modified Installer to apply the patches.
For best results, see one of my previous posts where I have listed two links to two official GOG Patch Update installers for the build version 4.1.83.2651 that will bring the game up to the version build of: 4.1.83.5246 (41823).
Get the first patch update from the first link and apply it to your build version of the game, it needs to be at: 4.1.83.2651 to apply the update patch successfully.
Then finish with the second patch from the second link, to finally bring the build version to: 4.1.83.5246 (41823).
That should help with the current issues you are having.
Hey Tekmarvl, still having issues with my game, maybe know a solution? i have the game currently on .3931 but it will say i dont have the right version for the patcher ^^ even tho its the patcher from .3931 to .5246 :/ would like to download your patchers but zippyshare is not available here, would you mind reuploading them?
@Blackdonn,
I noticed in your first post, you said you were having some issues with installing the patcher to bring it up to the build version of 4.1.83.5246, then in your second post, it appears that you had resolved the issue yourself.
Would it be possible to let me know what exactly you had done to resolve the patching issue with your build of the game ?
Was it a matter of disabling Anti-virus or Windows Defender temporarily, or Uninstalling and Re-installing the game from scratch, or was it something else you might have done ?
Would you mind sharing, so that anyone with a similar issue as the one you had, could help resolve their issue too?
If you still need the patch updates from an Alternative link other than Zippyshare, I can do that by providing you with both LetsUpload Links and Multiup links from different file hosts which you can find below.
As for patch 6620, I will keep my eye out for that, and when it becomes available, I will post a link or links to it here in this game / update thread.

After reinstalling game from scratch i still have a problem with installing updates. It still says “Game installation not found, please reinstall”. I have no idea what to do. Current patch of the game is 4.1.83.2651, so i should be able to install first update, but it just cant find its directory, i dont know why ? If someone has some idea how to solve this… Thanks.
@HeyDude,
If uninstalling (which you should do first), and then re-installing the game from scratch did not work for you, make sure that you have disabled any Anti-virus or Windows Defender, as they are known to interfere with the proper installation of game installers. So temporarily disable any AV or Windows Defender you have running.
You can even restart your PC in Windows Safe Mode without Networking (as this is a more efficient way for stubborn AV’s and Windows Defender to not be running any services in the background), and then run the Installer Setup for the game while in Safe Mode.
Wait for it to completely finish the installation of the game, and once that is done, then start to apply the first patch, followed by the second patch.
When both patches have been applied, Restart your PC and allow it to boot back into Windows normally.
Try launching your game, the patches should have taken effect, and your build version should have been updated to 4.1.83.5246 (41823).
If you still find that you are having issues, go into the directory where you have the game installer (not the game directory itself), and look to see if the game installer itself looks or resembles anything like Official GOG Setup and Bin files below from the original build version : 4.1.83.2651
::: THIS IS WHAT THE ORIGINAL GOG SETUP AND BIN FILES LOOK LIKE FOR BUILD VERSION: 4.1.83.2651 :::
setup_baldurs_gate_3_4.1.83.2651_(64bit)_(41774).exe
*** The first file above is the actual game setup installer with an .exe (executable) extension for a Windows based game installer. ***
*** The rest of the files will be .bin files (packaged data files in .bin format that the game setup installer will use when extracting and decompressing the data it needs to install the game).
Each .bin file will be numbered like this: -1.bin, -2.bin, and so forth till the very last .bin file. ***
*** Each .bin file, as part of the game setup installer, will also start of with: setup_baldurs_gate_3_4.1.83.2651_(64bit)_(41774), followed by .bin at the end to indicate that it is a compressed data game archive file, and part of the game setup installer. ***
So, generally this is what you would see with the Official GOG Game Setup Installer.
If your installer came in a different format, or looks like one of those Scene Release Group game installers with music playing in the background, you can still install the game, but just make sure that you have your AV or Windows Defender temporarily disabled before you begin to install, otherwise you may find that your PC’s defensive protection triggers with a false positive and tries to make an attempt to block or prevent the proper installation of the game.
So, try the things I suggested here, and if it still doesn’t work out, then let me know, and I will do my best to further assist you with resolving the issue.
Ok worked for me now i guess, do you maybe have the patch to .6620 ? xD since its still not availabe from skidrow
all my ingame text is “not found”
@SantaClowns,
Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing the game?
Have you applied both patches here to your game?
Keep in mind that this game is still in development, Early Access, and not the final, finished product, so expect there to be bugs, as well as patch updates to address some issues from the Developers of the game.
For those getting –
Error modifying x:\Baldurs Gate 3\bin\bg3.exe
Error modifying x:\Baldurs Gate 3\bin\bg3_dx11.exe
If you’ve downloaded the ‘repack’ iso – the installer doesn’t register the gog registry information.
I made a reg, it let me install the patches but now im getting 10 second long pauses every 3-4 seconds. Im not sure if thats my fix not working, or the next problem i have to solve.
I made this, just copy and paste to a text file, change the path’s to suit your install –

hey @Justanotherturd. how should i rename the reg file and where to save it?
Downloaded both patches. Installed them without issues. Now the game won’t even launch. It shows the studio logo, the nvidia logo, and then crashes in mid loading screen.
Hey thanks for everyone working on this.
I can’t reinstall the game to the default C:/ location because my drive is too small. So it’s on my D:/ drive.
When running the patch installers (and also moving them to appropriate folders), the installers tell me that they can’t find the installation…
Any ideas on what I could do?
Sorry this is unrelated to the update issues but I couldn’t find help in other places so here it goes.
I’m having several runtime errors that goes something like “internal error: runtime error: out of string range 500:57”. Installation does complete afterwards, however the file is about 48gb large in the end. When I launch the game it boots up no problem, but when I started playing I noticed that a lot of the assets were missing. Even the circle that’s supposed to appear when you click a character to move somewhere was just a white square. I guess it’s an unpacking issue. I tried everything that came to mind such as compatibility mode, hdd defragging, windows and driver updating etc. I even re-checked the files on utorrent and verified the files through the gog installer multiple times. I’m at a loss at this point, I can’t seem to install the game properly and I need help. Any help is much appreciated.
Anybody have the extration of this patches? in my pc apears Game not found :'(
