does this need steam to run? cause im getting an error that calls for steam client. Never had this problem with any TR games before this one.

Yes, can confirm this works for the Black Screen(game not initializing problem), thought it would be an install but it was just steam files, new .exe plus a new Empress .dll, so easy drag and drop stuff.

with previous versions of the port i experienced static in audio and it was awful.!

works really well, no problems, the crack in the installation folder works fine, don’t see a reason why there is a separate link for the crack itself though.
