I’m installing in the same game folder, as always did with updates, but this one is stuck with the progress bar on the end and the message “ending installation proccess… (may take a few minutes)” Anyone else with this problem?
@guyryuu That’s normal, you just have to wait.. it takes maybe ten minutes though.
To be honest i always end this install program in task manager never had any issues with the game after that.
@anim0sity I did this but when I open my game it doesn’t load… I get past the title screen and into the game loading, I’ve waited like 5 minutes and the bar didn’t start to load… I’m reinstalling everything now to test
I get a white screen after I start the game, the cursor changes and the process seems to be fine but it get’s stuck. The file verification shows that some files are corrupted. I’ve installed all the previous updates and the game works fine with them.

@N to install the patch? I think it’s normal, it depends on your pc and the applications running. The best way is to close everything and let the installer install haha
@Sev it shows 2 corrupted files for me, doing exactly what you did, that is I have every other updates and I was playing pretty normally, but this patch seems to be messing with the game ): I got stuck on loading screen into the game
@Gorizon I get a lot more corrupted files, 5+ actually. I tried every combination I could think of I tried installing the update only on the base game, only on the first 2 updates etc. nothing seems to work, I always end up getting that dreaded white screen and nothing else. I’m giving up for now, I hope they come up with a fix soon cause the patch has some good additions/changes.
I had to install the game again, I made a backup, pasted the files of update 1.03 and continues the white screen…

After the install I did the verify it said a bunch of files were missing but I booted up the game and seems to run fine?
I installed all the other older updates I’m just wondering if this is just the verify thing not working right.
Well guys, I just reinstalled everything and it worked fine. Here’s what I did: Install Base game (PLAZA) -> Install update 1.02.1 (copy ‘game’ folder and paste at ELDEN RING folder) -> Install update 1.02.2 (first copy and paste the ‘game’ folder in “update” folder followed by copy/paste the folders at “crack” folder -> Install update 1.02.3 (copy/paste the ‘game’ folder) -> Install new update 1.03 at your ‘ELDEN RING’ folder. Always substitute the files when copy/pasting the files. When it comes to my pc, I always have to close all apps to run the game, otherwise I got white or black frozen screen. I hope this helps!! And let’s become Elden Lords.
And I forgot to say, the Verify app thing checked 54 files and they were 100% ok.
And don’t forget to make a copy of your save files at “user/appdata/Roaming/EldenRing” before uninstall the game (if you are going to do that).
It’s giving the white screen bug now.

This game is simply awful, it does so many things and none of them are any good. Laggy PC port, non-coherent story,, outdated animations, combat feels clunky as hell, It seems the game developer through the whole kitchen sink this time around. It’s like they truly embraced and thought they could make quantity over quality work.
love it when someones shity installer corrupts my game and now im forced to reinstall everything, including unpacking and redoing all my mods… none of this would of happened if the update was a manual drag and drop. its the stupid slow as hell installer 1.03 thats breaking everyones game…

Ok so I just finished the install and 22 of the easy anti cheat stuff got corrupted. Looks like I can still play but I have no idea whats been affected by it
What a fucking incompetent patcher/installer. Corrupts my game and causes white screen. The fucking patcher is always stuck on “finishing installation”.

for all who get a white screen after installing the update here is the fix…
after u open the update exe installer u need to put the update file away from the game files
after the update installition is complete open the update folder(which is name have to be Elden Ring)>game>; here u need only to copy 5 files from the update folder /steam_emu/steam_api64.dll/steam_api64/regulation.bin/eldenring.exe
after that u need to paste them in the game main folder>replace(don’t try to copy these data files that come with the update file and paste them in the game main folder it’s all corrupt files)
and here u go hope it works for u
About the white screen, close STEAM before run Elden Ring, it worked for me 🙂
For those having trouble with corrupted files. Make sure your system has enough space to install the update. The launcher tells you the minimum amount of space required is roughly 22GB, but you actually need more than that. I would say at least double that space, roughly 45-50GB free space. The files getting corrupted might be due to lack of space for the launcher to work with. After that verify the files at the end the installation. Hopefully this helps someone.
White screen problem, i did what Gorizon said but it still gives me white screen , i reinstalled the game (Plaza), i copy pasted the 1.02.1, 1.02.2, 1.02.3 it worked fine , but when i install the 1.03 (elamigos) it gives me white screen from either installing to the game folder directly or installing from another folder and copy pasting to game folder, white screen all the way, please help, thank you in advance.
For the White Screen issue, I used the -CS repacks of the 1.03, 1.03.1, and 1.03.2 updates from fitgirl’s sharepoint folder:

Specifically I used the -CS repacks and I’m fully updated and able to play. Download the .zips, extract the Update folder contents to the Elden Ring directory (Not the /game folder), and run the .bat file. They auto-delete after install so move on to the next update in sequence and repeat.

Hi, first time trying to update a cracked, so i could be dumb, but when i read here on or /crackedgames on reddit people talk about running a .bat, i don’t find any ( i’ve downloaded 1.02.2,1.02.3 and 1.03 ) is it normal? all i have is some eldenring.exe , anticheat and data0 for the 1.02.2.
any idea? or maybe i just have to paste all of this in my game folder, but that’s look to simple, no?
Oh i forgot but 1.03 update here is named “Elden Ring update 1.02.2 – 1.03” so maybe i have to skip the 1.02.3? it’ s confusing honestly
