All the idiots saying this is awesome need to go dunk their head in a used toilet and then pull the flush handle. They copy pasted Dark Souls and added a George R. R. Martin skin to it. And the PC version is straight up junk, a lazy a$$ console port. First big disappointment of the year for me.

have no idea why this game is so highly rated. Nothing is exceptional in the game….graphics from the PS3 era, gameplay is clunky, storyline wise is forgettable, we’ve all seen much better. This is based on me wandering around for 30 minutes with no idea what to do or where to go….and dying countless times when multiple wolves attack from behind with no warning despite me having faced that direction no more than 3 seconds earlier.

Easy controller fix for DS4Windows: Navigate to Settings in ds4 and check the box “Hide DS4 Controller”, worked for me like a charm!

I’m surprised to see that some people are actually having some issues with the game that are easily solvable. There have already been a few Guests here that have suggested some solutions on how to go about changing the game’s default language to one that some people are most commonly used to using such as their own native language. Even if you are not able to change the game’s default language to your own native language, you should always check the game’s actual store page online or go directly to the Steam store front page and look for all the languages that are supported in the game and find out if your own native language is supported. It’s not that hard, and does not require the use of that much brain power.

Also, for those of you who are trying to get different types of generic or even console system gamepads like the PS4 Dualshock controller to work for the game, there has already been someone here on this comment thread of the game, who has suggested using DS4Windows and opening the game first, then opening DS4Windows, and setting the option to emulate an X360 Controller. Again guys, all you need to do is read, pay attention to what is being said by the help that is being offered to you, and actually use your head to apply the knowledge you gained. No hand holding required.

1. right click the game and go to propierties. disable the option to run as administrator
2. add the game to steam and in settings of steam enable the ps4 controller and xbox too
3. save and don’t need to open the game in big picture just in your library open the game

This is surrealist. With my 780 the game doesn’t open but yes open the game with the intel 4600 integrated graphics. My 780 is more powerful than the 1050ti and the 1650 for example but it is capped on purpose. Nvidia and the developers colluded to get us to buy new cards at higher prices. I will never buy an nvidia card again you bastards. Directx featurettes have always been optional and the game could work just fine with a lower feature, the graphical difference is minimal.

I found a solution for Series X Controller not being recognized.
I am at latest version Update v1.02.1.

0.- Fully quit Steam from system tray.
1.- Run steam as administrator!!
2.- Add Elden Ring as a None Steam game to Steam.
2.1-Click on library on steam
2.2- At the bottom left of you steam it says (ADD A GAME)
2.3- Add elden ring .exe from the install folder on your system.
2.4 Elden Ring now must appear on your Steam library.
3.- Run the game from within steam (does not matter if you are in steam big picture or not).

You are welcome!
Other things to clarify is that with this you do not have to add Xbox or generic controller to steam
It will detect automatically your controller.

Hi, just to inform you, the update link: “sc19835-ERUpd1021.rar” from “megaup.net” has virus.

It downloads an 159KB zip, containing another zip with “setup” and both “bin”, “setup.exe” files. Which doesnt meet the original file size.

The file should be 43,8MB size. Please be carefull.

For people having Controller issues using DS4 , you need to connect like you do as always”Hide DS4 controller”. Then use “Hidhide Configuration Client” , downloadable using the DS4 driver install interface ( You can find the option down ) . Hide the “Sony Interactive Wireless Controller”. This should work for sure.

Ragazzi l’ho Installato, cambiato lingua e aggiornato con l’update, tutto sembra funzionare bene anche il framerate è molto stabile con la mia configurazione 1080p maxato 60fps, presenti però in maniera relativamente consistente dei freeze, in combattimento sei praicamente fottuto, non avvengono troppo spesso ma succede immagino verà fixato con il prossimo update o almeno me lo auguro.

For those having problems updating the game:

Unless the ADMIN can explain, I would not download the v1.02.2 patch from here. On this site it’s 9.6GB. I got the P2P patch from The Pirate Bay and it’s 47MB, huge difference. In order to properly install the P2P update you have to put the update files in the ELDENRING directory. DO NOT put those files in the ELDENRING\GAME directory because the update patch will abort. Click on the .BAT file and it will run a script that updates the game to v1.02.2 and once it is finished it will automatically delete those files.

Next you need to copy the 3 files in the P2P CRACK folder and copy those files to the ELDENRING\GAME folder. If you’ve done it right your game should say Game v.02.2 and Calibration v1.02.2

Its From Fitgirls page i used ELDEN_RING_Update_v.1.03-CS

You need al previous updates or it wont work, when installing point to the Elden Ring folder not the Game folder inside of it. It should tell you files found and ready to patch. After patching dont forget to copy the crack files over to run the game.

For all the people that are getting the hanging white screen, on start-up, it’s more than likely that your GPU isn’t supported (not DX12 compatible). You might need to find a DX12 fix on YouTube. That’s what I did, and now I can play the game without issue. My GPU is a GTX 750 TI; which only goes to DX11. Hope this helps. 🙂

Don’t believe the over inflated fanboy reviews, they are either ignorant or willfully blind to the major issues that plague this game. Extremely overhyped by brainless fanboys we are now at patch 1.0.3, and yet despite the community screaming for better PC performance, they’ve completely ignored it, and made it worse in some instances, and given us instead some of the most stupid, unwarranted buffs and nerfs that they could have come up with, purely to appease the part of the community that only wants to suffer playing this game and demands everyone else does too.

Any word on a fix for the crack\update on this one?

For all the people that are getting the hanging white screen, the problem might be you cpu . If gpu supports dx12. Im yousing cpu fix and the game runs fine.

This game is a sign of just how poor the gaming industry has got lately that games like this are deemed as “ground breaking” mostly by fanboys.

Despite all the patches the game suffers from the following problems….
– the game is unbalanced tf. One minute you one shot main bosses then next minute you are getting one shot by a rat. – the crafting system is pretty much pointless
– the game has a very poor story
– The graphics are dated
– the voice acting and audio is laughable – game has major glitches. Was worried it would brick my 3090
– the stuttering is a mess
– the armour is just for cosmetics pretty much
– the bosses are reskinned constantly
– the side quests are a dreadful guessing game mess
– the puzzles hardly make sense.
– the dungeons are repetitive
– some of the secrets are so poorly designed you basically need to spend the game hitting every wall with a stick
– you spend ages working through areas to get loot you can’t use
– the classes don’t actually mean anything
– the leveling system is boring
– the game tries to be edgy by not explaining anything which means you can miss integral parts
– the combat is a clunky mess. The game isn’t mechanically hard…it is just badly designed
– the game endlessly jump scares you with unavoidable enemies attacking around corners…this isn’t fun gameplay
– online multiplayer is terrible
– most of the spells are useless
– the lack of variety of weapons per class. Basically have one staff all game
– the platforming and jumps are painful
– fall damage is a nuisance
– the UX menu is terrible. Very hard to locate items with ease. – putting dash on the same button as dodge is beyond stupid and being unable to remap it is even worse
– the cutscenes are terrible and lag like crazy. Also the loading times are a blast from the past

Imagine coming to a scene site to whine about a game like a bunch of little faggots, holy shit ya’ll can keep it to your fuckin selves. You miss the fuckin point of cracks entirely.

Anyway, for the White Screen issue, I used the -CS repacks of the 1.03, 1.03.1, and 1.03.2 updates from fitgirl’s sharepoint folder:

Specifically I used the -CS repacks and I’m fully updated and able to play. Download the .zips, extract the Update folder contents to the Elden Ring directory (Not the /game folder), and run the .bat file. They auto-delete after install so move on to the next update in sequence and repeat.

I had the white screen bug right after i installed the .03 patch but i got it fixed after trying out some stuff. What i did originally was installing the .03 patch from .02.3 patch and it resulted to the white screen issue. Quite some time later i found this guy on reddit commenting on a post about how he fixed the bug, so i followed his instructions and it also turned out to fix the bug for me as well. So basically all you gotta do is to repatch down your ER back to .02.2 and after that instead of installing the .02.3 patch you can just go straight to the 1.03 setup.exe. Run it like usual, wait until the patch is complete and you’re Gucci. Idk if it’s gonna work for everyone but it’s still worth sharing imo. LMK if it worked out for you aswell, and if it did then help me spread the word 😀

Glad I did not pay for this trash, if it wasn’t for the open world setting I would not even bother with this. None of the games by this japs company interested me, I tried ER with all the hype and it was a huge disappointment, there is no immersive story, amazing graphic, soul beating music soundtracks. i aimed for 100% completion on 1st run through and I am already bored, fan boi claimed it HUGE open world contents, no it is not, it is simple copy and paste of dungeons/textrure/monters over and over.

Updating: Is it enough to copy the files from the update folders to the installation folder? Anything else to do?
