As @SKIDROWCODEX said up above somewhere, there will be no update to 1.2.0, only the full release. So I believe you have to download the beta 1.2.0 torrent (in green up there) and install it.

If I was using beta branch e1.1.0 do I need to get the main branch update as well or is it the same?

Yes, if you download the whole 1.1.0 torrent and replace files your current game will be updated to 1.1.0 too.
